Alexander Moskalenko, the GCE Group President have sent the resolution of the participants of the IX International Forum on Industrial Safety held in June in St. Petersburg, to Yukiya Amano, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), with a proposal to confer the IAEA with the monitoring functions and coordination of nuclear power plant projects under construction and planned.
The text of the resolution expressed concern of the professionals on industrial safety by the lack of control at the international level for the state of nuclear facilities: "In the course of the Forum some aspects of the safe operation of nuclear power plants were discussed. Given the global nature of negative, and sometimes disastrous, consequences of accidents at these stations (remembering the Chernobyl and Fukushima accidents), delegates to the Forum put forward the proposal of the necessity and possibility of granting the issuance of the international expert conclusion on the safety of the plant, to the extent of ban on the construction and operation of facilities that have negative conclusions". The initiative for the adoption of the resolution was made by the representatives of LLC “Gazprom transgaz Samara” and the group of companies "GCE”. The proposal was unanimously endorsed by the participants of the Forum.
The IX International Forum on Industrial Safety under the flags of fifteen countries of the world brought together more than two hundred experts on industrial safety from the large enterprises and government supervisory bodies.
